Horsin' around

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We even had a white Christmas. Snow fell on Christmas day. It was lovely. Stephen's eyes sparkled at the wonder of it all. His little rocking horse took some warming up to. He petted it and decided to try riding it later in the day. Too cute! He loved tearing paper and pulling on the ribbon. The simple things in life.

Christmas morning ended with a bang. As I was reaching for the last gift under the tree (which was way in back), I slightly bumped the tree with my elbow and it came tumbling down. I had made it front heavy with ornaments since it was a corner tree. So, the weight was too much to bear. Stephen was so sad to see "Christmas tree" fallen over. But, we all acted instead of reacted. We finished opening the last gift and then Ray said: Look outside...a Mama moose with her 2 babies were walking up the trail in our yard. And, the snow was falling. It was a beautiful sight! The good news is only 2 ornaments broke (don't worry Mom, they were'nt frosty friends) and Ray and Beth helped me take the ornaments and lights off and put the tree away that day. It was actually nice to have it taken down this week, so I can enjoy Ray's week off next week instead of cleaning up.

I'll send more photos soon. It seems that blogspot is speeding up the uploading of pictures, so we shall see....

Love you all,
Kary
