I decided to make "cups of cheer" to let my VT sisters know that Spring is here! It is 60° today and the sun is shining warmly upon us. You can feel Spring in the air and the snow is almost all gone.
So, as far as this craft project goes....I had to go to JoAnn Fabrics to get ribbon. I know Mom would be proud. See, I don't do fabric stores. I'm just not that craftsy of a person and I'm ok with that. But, I am finding little crafts that I enjoy. I don't like to do crafts that take a long time to complete. I am an 'on the move' kind of gal...so my patience runs thin in this area. I love crafts that others do for me and am so grateful for their talents. I am working on improving my patience in this area. There is so much to learn. I really enjoy being creative and sharing what I make with others.
I went to JoAnn's with a friend of mine. As we stood at the ribbon aisle, we were cracking up. 3/4" ribbon, grosgrain????? oh boy, we found 7/8" and that had to do. I told her if my Mom could see me now, she wouldn't believe it. However, Dad would be proud that we ended up at Coldstone ice cream afterward to cool me off from being in a craft store for too long. : )
My VT sisters enjoyed their cups of cheer and it made them smile....so I smiled too.
Share a smile with someone today. What can you make and deliver to brighten someone's day?
You will see in my next post what a friend of mine made for me and delivered yesterday. Her timing was perfect.
Never be weary of well doing!
Smiles,
Kary
