To all my faithful followers, I'm still alive in Alaska even though it's been below zero quite often. We still get out and have fun. You definitely need to get out during daylight hours and create magical memories with your loved one's. It's totally worth the effort. Sometimes it takes us a while to get everyone bundled up, but the benefits are great.
Here is Stephen at Portage Lake a couple weeks ago. We enjoyed a nice meal and a cool walk along the rocky beach. He loves collecting sticks. He also enjoys throwing rocks in the lake and seeing how many icebergs he can hit.
Here is Sage with her new boyfriend, Hoss. He is a big boy Berner that we met a couple weeks ago. We invited he and his family over for Sage's 4th Birthday on Jan 26. We are so grateful she is strong and healthy. We expect to have her around for many more years. Stephen and McKinley adore her.
Stephen posing for Daddy Ray at Portage Lake. He's all smiles when he's outdoors. He loves hiking with Daddy. Thank goodness!
I don't know if I ever posted our family Christmas picture, so here it is. We're working on one outdoors when the weather gets to 20 above. : ) It may be a while.
Here's a picture that Ray took of McKinley at 6 months of age. Her two bottom teeth are starting to come in. She is such a sweet tempered little girl. Stephen absolutely loves her and asks for "Kia" all the time. He used to say "Kinley." But, now it's "Kia." I don't think he realizes her middle name is "Kea," but "Kia" works too. Life is good here. We are all working out and getting stronger. It makes all the difference in getting rid of the winter blues. So, press on and be strong. I love you.
Hugs and smiles,
Kary
PS. Thanks to my sister Mari for creating and updating my blog layout. Keep up the great work!

I will keep working on it... I will add music etc. I love the pictures, maybe I can use the family one and create a header.
Cute family! In one of the pictures Stephen looks like Frodo -- the eyes. :-)
McKinley is a cutie. She has a look all her own. I can't wait to see what she looks like when she grows up! :-)
Love you!
Mari
