Maritimes Memories

We recently returned from New Brunswick, Canada.  My parents, Ed and Sally Lindquist are currently serving a church mission there.  Their mission will be completed this week and they will be returning home.  I felt the warmth and hospitality of the people that my parents fellowshipped.  I felt the Spirit in my parents apartment because they chose to make it a holy place.  I felt blessed to have parents that have been willing to give up time with their family to lift up and serve others.  We had the privilege to travel to a variety of beautiful places because my Dad likes to drive, drive, drive.  We were able to experience much of the Maritimes and enjoyed every marvelous minute.

Which shoe is our birthday cake?  Did you guess the one in the middle?  You're right!  Isn't that cool?  A member in Mom and Dad's stake, Anita Doskas, made this specially designed cake because she knew we were training for a marathon.  We arrived at her home after spending time in Acadia National Park.  I was so impressed with her willingness and desire to surprise us with this birthday treat.  She is a true inspiration.

Hopewell Rocks.  A nice hike to the rock formations.  Well worth it.

McKinley with Mommy Kary at Hopewell Rocks.

Stephen with Daddy Ray at Hopewell Rocks.

On the Ferry boat to Nova Scotia.

Looks like you had a fun time. I sure hope you have MORE pictures?! One of these days I will go farther east than Utah. I would love to see the big cities, and experience the different world that is the east coast. I am sure you are glad to be home, though. That is the great thing about travel is it helps you appreciate what you have! Love you!

Oh, WAY cute cake. Some people are SO talented!

It was so much fun having you here. We have had dinner with Websters, Cosmans, Crilleys and Walkers this week and they all talk about Stephen and Mckinley getting up in front of such a big audience without hesitation. I love to tell them it is a family trait (humbly, of course).

We are packed and ready to go...courtesy of a couple of young missionaries who came and helped Dad load the car today.

We will mail your package tomorrow. Kids stuff will come be snail mail but Ray's will get priority and should be there in plenty of time to join him on THE run.

I am just so excited to see everybody!! (I know, i can just see you laughing as in "Mom gets excited???")

Won't be long now. We are heading to dinner at the Crilleys again tonight and then some final touches on cleaning the kitchen (the stove has been clean and off limits since Monday since we have eaten out with someone every night this week.

USA here we come!!!!

Love. Mom
