McKinley Kea Hafen

Surprise! In 20 weeks, our little girl (one of Heavenly Father's daughters), will be coming to earth to join our family. On March 21, 2008, which happened to be "Good Friday," we found out the joyful news. Ray and I have had the name "McKinley," chosen for our little girl, for many years. We have always had powerful feelings every time we have traveled to Denali National Park with our family. When 'the mountain' comes out in all her glory you can feel the power and strength of God. My hope for this new little one is that she will stand tall (like the mountain) and be strong and immovable in the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Her middle name, "Kea" was selected a few years ago when Ray and I won our trip to Hawaii. The tallest Mt. there, located on the Big Island, is Mauna Kea. "Kea" meaning 'white' and 'pure.' I love the symbolism of putting the two names together. McKinley Kea will be here soon and we are so thankful to a merciful Heavenly Father who has blessed us with such jewels.

This picture was taken on Friday, March 21, 2008. The Sonogram showed that she would be due August 3rd, but my Dr.'s due date is Aug 10th....we shall see....I'm aiming for August 7th, our anniversary, then my gift to Ray is already picked out and easy to wrap up in a cuddly blanket. : )
