A Walk in the Woods

I love Fall in Alaska. It is a time to hold on to. We know that winter is not far off, so we cherish every moment of color and warmth. We enjoyed a pleasant walk in the woods today on the Alcantra Trail. We all needed the exercise and fresh air. Stephen walked the entire trail (approx. 2 miles) and then we played baseball and soccer with Grandpa at the ball field. It was a wonderful, fun filled day. After our time at the ball field, we went and picked up tacos and burritos and enjoyed a picnic at the park with the ducks.Stephen loves to play with Sage's leash. Sometimes I wish he was on a leash, but today, he put me on leash. I tried to "heel" as much as possible. Now, if I can "heal" from all my little boy's energy, I'll make it.
"Don't mess with me. I've got an attitude dude!" : )
I had asked Stephen to move his hat out of his eyes and this is what he did to get it out of the way.
McKinley is happy to be along for the bouncy ride. She loves her stroller (thank goodness!) I'm not sure I'm ready to keep up with chasing two. But, I'm running again, so watch out little one's, Mom is on the move!
"Look Mom, I'm super strong like Daddy." "Don't worry, I won't rupture any discs." "I'm a big boy now."
We're enjoying our walk in the woods. I'm grateful that Mom and Dad love being Grandma and Grandpa with all of the grandkids. They always make sure we all have a good time. I'm glad they can keep up with us too. I don't think of them as "senior citizens." I think of them as 'young and restless'...not to be compared with the Soap Opera. : )

Happy Fall!
Press forward!
Kary

Hey Kary, Your kids are so stinking cute! Mom and I were just talking about them the other day, and we were both saying that little Kinley just melts our hearts, and we think it's because she looks like she could be one of our babies, so adorable!

I am SO excited that you will be coming for Christmas, I can't wait to give my sweet little niece and nephew a squeeze...well for that matter, I can't wiat to give my sweet brother and sister in law a big squeeze too! I actually have a bunch of fun things we can do together while your here if you have the time. I know it will probably be a busy trip for you guys, but if there is ever any down time we would love for you guys to come stay with us and play!!!! I've been craving some singing time with you too...anyway, we will have to see. Just know that we love you and can't wait to see you!
