Homer, Alaska is spectacular!

Last weekend we took a 4 day camping trip to Homer. It was very rejuvenating. We hadn't been there for 5 years and we were reminded of how spectacular Alaska really is. The jagged mountain peaks, the incredible ocean views, the glorious glaciers, the otters floating in the water and eagles soaring overhead were just a few of the amazing sights on this trip. Now quoting a favorite primary song: "I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me." Aren't you?
Mommy, Stephen, McKinley and Sage at "Bishop's Beach." The waves were so fun to run away from w/ the kids.
Here's our camping spot at Baycrest Park. The view was amazing and the price was right. They even had a flushing toilet and showers. Now, we're talking!!! We found a pop up trailer last summer on Craigslist and we have really enjoyed traveling w/ it this summer. It doesn't take long to set up or take down and the kids love bouncing up and down in it. What I love about it is the heater. Very cozy! You gotta love Stephen's moose pj's.
The wildflowers were beautiful in Homer. Lupine was everywhere. Stephen is really growing up. He'll be 4 in September. He always tells me "I'm a big boy now." Yes, he is.
Swinging at the Homer park. "Yee haw!"
Ray captured some adorable pictures of the kids in the wildflowers. Here is one of McKinley being precious. She'll be 2 years old next week.

Remember family trips are an investment in your family relationships. Yes, family is about time! Treasure every moment.

Smiles, Kary
