Ray ran the Deseret News Marathon on Monday, July 25, 2011. He started at the top of Immigration Canyon and then finished at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City He finished in 4:11. Ray had back surgery 3 years ago and after having run 4 marathons in 4 months this summer, he knows that nothing is impossible.
Ray wanted a photo with the bagpiper director. As he started the marathon at the top of the canyon, a lone bagpiper played: Praise to the Man. He could feel the love of his ancestors as he was running the Mormon trail on the day after Pioneer day.
Family cheerleaders kept him going to the finish.
Kristie and Kellie show up again to support another run for our family. They are truly dedicated!
