Stephen turns 5 years old

We were all feeling a little 'blue' as we celebrated Stephen's birthday today. A few weeks ago, I asked him what kind of cake he wanted for his birthday and he replied: "A Blues Clues cake." I was totally surprised by his response. I have only read him one Blues Clues book about a year ago. Well, I went on line to find the most simplified cake of "Blue" and when I post more pictures, you will see the outcome. A friend of mine helped with the decorating and we enjoyed creating the cake together.
Stephen is talking to Grandma on the phone. I had hidden paw prints on the trail in our yard that would lead him to find Blue. Grandma and Papo sent this new puppy to Stephen and he was thrilled to find it in a big blue box hiding in the woods. You should have heard him squeal with delight.

We had a real 'ball' on Stephen's birthday. Turning 5 is super exciting!
The rocket you see flying over the tent in our yard was a gift from Ray to Stephen. Stephen loved watching it blast off. Bethanie really got into this game. Look at the intensity on her face. We had a great time.
Blues Clues DVD's are great teaching tools. Thanks Mom and Dad for the surprises. We miss you, but always feel that you are nearby.
