Pirate Girl & Sea Life Boy

Arghhhh Matey!  Here's McKinley, our Preschool Pirate girl.
A few weeks ago, her PS class celebrated National Pirate Day.  Did you know there was a National Pirate day?

Stephen celebrated his 6th birthday with sea life creatures everywhere.
We decorated downstairs (Mom and me) at 11:00pm so that it would look like an "under
the sea" ocean scene.  Notice the blue sheet in the corner, the surprise fish tank is
hiding under there.  Stephen and McKinley both got to choose a fish at the
pet store with Grandma and Grandpa.  Our pet fish are:  Tunip and Dashi.

Stephen had a 'whale' of a time as he opened his favorite creature that Daddy chose for him at the Sea
Life center.

ORCA!!!  Can you see the joy in that expression?  Pure joy!

What kind of cake did Stephen ask for?  A green eel.  Thank goodness Grandma was
here to take that on.  : )  Fortunately, it didn't taste too slimey.  :  )

Fall time.  Who doesn't love playing in the leaves?

We love our leaf blower.  Stephen literally had a blast making the leaves fly everywhere.

Picking potatoes.
Stephen and Daddy planted a potato garden this summer.  We enjoyed a
great harvest.  The kids loved digging for 'gold' as they dug up the dirt to find
buried treasure.

Here's our angry bird.  We were out trying on costumes and just had to give this one a try.
But, there was no way I was paying 40 bucks for it.  So, I decided a picture of it while in the store was
our best option (thank goodness for iPhone cameras.)  Stephen really wanted to be a turtle for Halloween.  Beth had called me earlier in the day and told me that Target had Ninja Turtle costumes there.  So, Stephen was thrilled to be a super hero turtle.  Go Ninja's!
