Today our family enjoyed another great adventure in the mountains.
Ray ran in the Hatcher Pass Marathon. Another 26.2 miles.
Ray was supported by great fans: Stephen, McKinley, Sage and Mommy.
We cheered him on with signs, flags, music and pom poms.
The kids and I stopped for a picnic by the river during the marathon. Sage enjoyed some refreshing water and the kids and I had fun throwing rocks in the river and eating lunch together.
Ray running to mile 20. Mile 20 is always a happy sight. You know you're going to make it now.
Running Ray
Lean into it baby! You got this. Just press on!
The Sound of Music comes to life here: "Climb every Mountain."
More uphill to climb. 25 miles of the course was uphill today. The last mile was downhill.
Gotta love it!
Almost to the finish. Mile 25 is in view.
Happy kids w/ Sage. This was before the run started this morning.
Daddy's biggest fans. Go Daddy go!
(this photo was taken prior to the race.) I'm not sure if Ray would have been able to squat in that position after the marathon. : )
Run on!
