McKinley & Magenta (McKinley turns 4; Happy Birthday!)

McKinley celebrated her 4th birthday on July 24, 2012.

She loves the color pink!

Last year, Stephen chose a Blues Clues cake.  I made him a "Blue" puppy face cake.

So, this year, when I asked McKinley what kind of cake she would like for

her birthday, she said:  "Magenta!"  Blue's best buddy.

Stephen and McKinley really are best buddies, even though they are like

most siblings who have their ups and downs.  : )

We have had a lot of rain this summer, so you might as well look fashionable if you're going to get wet.

The ice cream PJs were a gift she's been wanting for a while (best place to get pjs for your kids, Costco!)  The price is right.  So after she got her pjs on , she put her new rubber boots on and popped up her matching umbrella.  She accessorized with a new heart necklace.  She's certainly making a fashion statement, don't you agree?

And, look, it's not raining!!!!! : )

Want your kids to have fun on their birthday?  Order gravel!!!  Ray surprised me with gravel for our walkway for McKinley's birthday.  I've been wanting to get gravel for a while so the walkway will look finished and less sand will be tracked into the house.  The kids loved playing in it.  Watching the dump truck dump the crushed rock was very exciting for the kids.  

A new outfit for Preschool.  McKinley loves to wear yellow.

A Princess book that makes super cool sounds.  Another great buy at Costco.  Notice the price tag is not removed.  : ) oops!  At least I wrapped the presents Mom.  ; )

Here's the Magenta cake.  She was strawberry flavor w/ cream cheese frosting.  Yummy!

More fun in the gravel.  Time to get shoveling and spread it out.  McKinley would rather take a break.  It was only 10pm when we went out to work on the walkway.  When the sun's still up, you have to make the most of it.  

Time to 'rock and roll!' Here's McKinley riding her pink balance bike that Daddy bought her for her birthday.  We actually gave it to her at the beginning of summer so she could learn to ride.  

She loves it and thought she would give it a test ride down the gravel hill.
