Thompson Pass/Valdez Trip

Last week, we drove to Thompson Pass to set up camp for 4 days. We were blessed with the company of Kristie and Kellie (our entertaining and cheerful cousins.) We found a glorious campsite with a view of the mountains. The weather was mostly sunny. We enjoyed hiking, fishing, running, sight seeing, campfires, huge marshmallows and great conversation with a lot of laughter.
McKinley hiked for 2 hours w/ her new backpack on. She is in training for our Yellowstone trip coming up soon.
We hiked up to Worthington Glacier with Kristie, Kellie, the kids and Sage.
Enjoying Horsetail Falls on the way to Valdez.
Stephen & McKinley are hiking buddies. They have whistles built into the backpacks and they love to give them a try. But, I am teaching them that they are only to blow them if they are lost in the woods.
Here's our "Mt. McKinley" climber. She was one tough little girl. She carried her own water bottle and trail mix. Stephen and McKinley made their special trail mix w/ Daddy last week and they looked forward to taking "trail mix breaks" during our hike.
Let the good times rock and roll!

That little girl is CUTE! (and McKinley, too, of course!);-) Looks like fun! We are super-excited to have you here! Sammi can't wait to have McKinley here, you won't have to watch her at all -- Sammi will! She really wants a little sister! McKinley would be a great little sister! Daniel and William will take care of Stephen. :-)

Looks like a bunch of good climbers! It looks really pretty, too. Keep moving!

See you SOON!
