Ray built this snow cave with Stephen and McKinley a couple weeks ago. Stephen had his little shovel and worked diligently to create this cave. Don't worry, they only go inside the cave if Mommy or Daddy are with them. Ray is planning to sleep outside with Stephen this weekend as long as the temperature is above 30°. McKinley gets to sleep in Mommy's bed. : )
Since winter in Alaska can last a while, you have to be creative and make the most of the snow. You can't let the snow and cold stop you from having fun. Make it fun!
In the book, "Born to Run," there is a quote that relates to what I'm trying to say: "Don't fight the trail, take what it gives you."
So, make today a wonderful day!

SUPER FUN!!!!! Wish I lived closer so I could play with Stephen and McKinley. We would have TOO much fun. And I'd love to play outside with you too. Or better yet, have you pull me in the sled behind you running. :) That could make for some great laughs! Love you Kary, Tessa
It just snowed here today, we have had NO SNOW this year! There is not quite enough for a snow cave though, or even a snow man! The caves look like fun (for the kids, not me!) Why anyone would sleep outside when they could sleep inside is beyond me! :-)
