Big Lake Beach

Today, we rode our bikes to Big Lake.  It was another beautiful summer day in AK.  73° and sunny.
We enjoyed a picnic lunch together.  Then it was time to get out the buckets and shovels and play at the beach.
And, of course, we had to get a little wet.

Stephen gives a thumbs up for cooling off his feet in the water.

McKinley is making mud soup. Mmmm…can't wait to taste it.

"Ta da!"  This is the life!!!!!

McKinley fills up the bucket with sand.  She can't let Stephen's bucket have more than hers. : )

Digging holes in the lake and then sinking your feet into them felt so good.

Ahhh…sharing dirt.  So thoughtful.  ;  )

I'm not sure if this is Stephen's Elvis pose or what, but it makes me smile.

Definitely trying to imitate the Incredible Hulk in this one, right?

Trying to splash Mom.  So fun, just had to make sure the camera didn't get wet as I was taking their pictures.

McKinley was determined to kick that water over to me.

This power kick ought to do it.  Yep, I got wet.

Stephen wants to give it a try.  Go Captain America!

Now he's using some superhero powers.

Peace.

Running along the shore.

Throwing sand into the lake is super cool until it gets in Mommy's camera lens…oops!

Kids always like mud and water:) Brings back memories of taking our kids there together about 2 1/2 years ago. Crazy how time goes by so fast. Keep making memories:)
