Buttery Bread and Milky Milk

I was inspired by Mari a few weeks ago when I saw her picture of her homemade white bread. I love white bread! But, I usually make whole wheat (which I like too.) I especially love our Mother's cinnamon bread (which she hasn't made in years, hint! hint!) I told her that her cinnamon bread holds healing powers, so I can't wait until she returns home from her mission to make me feel all better. : ) Yesterday, I decided that I would use some of the dough to make cinnamon rolls. They turned out so soft and gooey! I was thrilled! I have been looking for a recipe for easy, delicious cinnamon rolls and I think I found it yesterday. I came across a site called Mormonchic.com (I think that's the site) I'll look it up and post it as a link so you can check out all the bread recipes there. I found the recipe I'm going to use for homemade rolls for Thanksgiving on there too. Yes, I'm ditching Rhode's rolls this year and going for the gusto. I'm even making a homemade pie. Watch out Betty Crocker, here I come!

I'm a little concerned for Mari since she has to do the Turkey for her family this year. All I can do is laugh and smile every time I think about it. Perhaps Charles' hand will heal in time to help you out Mari! Let's hope so! : )

We went to Costco Friday night and bought our beautiful, fresh smelling Christmas wreath. I brought it indoors so we could enjoy it every day and have the pine scent throughout the house. We have about 8 inches of snow now and we are looking forward to a White Christmas. We are planning on skiing and sledding here on Thanksgiving day. Ray even hooked up a harness and poles for Sage to pull Stephen around on a sled. Let the games begin!

I don't think that I ever posted these cow pictures of Stephen going for the gallon of milk. It was a MOOving experience for sure. He tried to crawl off the counter a few times, but Ray was quick to catch him. He sure is full of activity these days. He keeps me on the MOOve too. I love him greatly.

To all who may read this: When is the last time you made bread and took it to a neighbor?

Happy Thanksgiving!

Kary

No worries about me Kary. Charles should be able to do most of the turkey, but I will be his lovely assistant. :-)

Your bread does look yummy! Cinnamon rolls are one of my favorites! As for cinnamon bread, I usually make one white and turn the other one into cinnamon bread just by sprinkling the cinnamon and sugar on the dough before I roll it up, then when it is done I make a glaze to put on it - so yummy! It is pretty much a huge cinnamon roll. :-) It makes Charles happy, and the kids love it too!

The pictures of the cow are so cute. I hope the little cow enjoys his milk!

Lots of love!

Thanks for checking in Debbie. I always enjoyed your bread. I miss your cookies. It will be great to get together over the holidays. Feel free to come visit us too if you are headed this way. Our sledding hill is ready for action.

Way to go, my friend!! You are amazing!! Your bread looks awesome!! I too love cinnamon rolls and cinnamon bread. I am planning on making cinnamon rolls today with Hannah, who arrives from Alaska this morning!! We are using a recipe that is my grandmothers that uses pumpkin. In my case, we are using squash because Scott's parents brought us 4 huge (and I do mean huge) hubbard squash!

I envy you your snow! It makes me miss Alaska!! Actually it snowed here in the mountains yesterday. It is getting cold too!

Lots of love and tight squeezes!!
